Nap Boot Camp Day 3

Today was more of the same. With every nap Ben would fuss as I left the room and then go right to sleep. Thirty minutes later he would wake up and then I would let him cry it out for 30 minutes hoping he would go back to sleep. Each time he would come so close to going back to sleep, but then he would fight it and wake back up. Hopefully this is a good sign that he is getting closer. Tomorrow is our last day of not having to leave the house to go anywhere so I really am praying that there will be some progress made towards longer naps. He is just so tired all day from not getting a good long nap.

Now for some cute pictures.

I love this one!
Look at those Cheeks!
So sweet with his legs crossed

Looking Sleepy
Ben loves watching Baby Einstein
Ben is really sitting well now. If he has his boppy behind him I am now comfortable to let him sit by himself and play with his toys while I do a couple things.

Dana, Neil is doing the SAME things with his naps and it just started recently. Prior he was a great napper - anywhere from 45-90 minutes, sometimes longer! One thing I've been doing this week is giving him a dose of baby Tylenol and (sometimes) baby Orajel - if he is showing gnawing signs! - on his gums about 45 minutes before naptime begins.
He is sleeping so much better this week after doing that!
I really believe his teeth hurt...and his ears because of it...and he can't sleep.

My comment looks like I drug my baby, but I just wanted to clarify that only when Neil is showing signs of discomfort...gnawing and pulling ears...or crying when he is chewing on a toy...do I give him the Tylenol and/or orajel.
Bless his heart.
I thought of you these past few days when Neil hasn't been sleepy. I load him up in his stroller and take him on a walk. Maybe it's sensory overload, but we come back home and he's been zonking out for at least an hour...today it was two!
