I can not believe my baby is 5 months old. How did he get so old and how do I make time slow down. The last month has been a pretty good month. We are still having sleeping issues, but Ben has been a lot happier during the day.

Ben's sleeping at night has improved some. He has been getting up at about 2:30 in the night and then anywhere from 5:30-6:30 in the morning. When I am lucky I can get him to go back to sleep in the morning until about 7:15. Those mornings when he gets up at 5:30 are rough. I wish he would either get up once in the night and sleep until 7:00 or sleep all night and get up at 6:30. That would be absolutely wonderful.

Naps are the hardest part of the day. Ben fights taking a nap so much. Once I do get him to sleep he only sleeps for 30 minutes at the most. Then an hour later he is already tired again and ready for a nap. I really need to not leave the house for about a week and really try to set a good napping schedule, but there seems to be so much going on lately.

Despite the sleeping troubles it has been a really good month. Ben is playing so much more with his toys. He loves his exersaucer especially when Baby Einstein is on at the same time. He loves Baby Einstein and would watch it all day if I let him. Ben is working on sitting up. He can sit for about 15 seconds before toppling over. Everyday he seems to be getting better and better at it.

This month Ben has started solids. He has eaten rice cereal, green beans, carrots, sweet peas, and peaches. So far carrots and peaches have been his favorites. He might be orange in his pictures next month if we can't find other foods he likes.

Ben is starting Kindermusik on Friday. I think he is really going to enjoy it because he loves listening to music so much.

AH!! The sweetest pictures of your handsome Ben. Wow. How are they already five months? It's so much fun coming over to your blog and seeing how our boys are developing at just about the same rate! Neil, too, loves Baby Einstein and carrots. I'll have to try peaches! I am afraid he'll turn orange, too! How are you doing?

How precious! You will need a bigger chair before too long. I love the "Mohawk" picture. I have noticed a blue quilt with Baby Ben on it in several picutres. I am glad you are getting good use of it.
Love ya!
