I can't believe how much has changed in my life in the last ten years, so I thought I would do a quick review of the highlights from the last decade.
2000-At the beginning of the year, I was 16 years old and a junior in high school. That summer Lindsey and I moved out of our parent's house and into the little house we grew up in. I only had one semester of high school left and graduated in December.
2001-I started college at Texas A&M and lived by myself while Lindsey did an internship in Houston. I can't believe I lived by myself at 17! I grew up a lot during that time and learned to be a neat freak when I no longer had my mom there making sure the house was clean.
2002-Not much changed, still in college.
2003-The first grandchild was born into our family, my niece Lauren. I got into A&M's business school and picked Finance as my major. My parent's bought a house in Colorado and we have since spent so much time there as a family. I also got my first digital camera, so now there are pictures to go along with this post :-)

The family in Colorado
2004-I graduated from A&M in the summer and started working for my dad as a cost accountant. That November Lindsey and Kenny got married.

2005-Shawn and I met!!!
2006-Was an awesome and busy year. Shawn and I got engaged in February and married in May. In June my nephew Luke was born and in December Adam and Andrew were born.
The day we got engaged
Our Wedding Day
(That day I added another niece, Courtney, from Shawn's side of the family)
Holding the boys for the first time (this was actually in 2007)
2007-Shawn graduated with his PhD in Wildlife and Fisheries
And a lot of my time was spent with these two guys :-)
We also built our first house together
2008-Our prayers were answered and we were expecting our first child!
2009-We started the year off preparing for Ben's arrival. My niece Kate was born in January and in September our other niece Brittney was born.
On April 16, 2009 our lives changed forever with the birth our sweet baby boy.
Our Family of Three
Now he is a happy 8 month old baby!
I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for us over the next decade!

What a great post! I loved the trip down memory lane. I still can't believe mom and dad let you move out at 16, that sounds so weird but it really didn't seem to weird at the time. I LOVED living in the greenleaf house together, too bad we didn't get to stay there longer. It's been a great decade indeed!
That was an awesome post. I usually just lurk around but this time I had to comment!
