Ben is nine months old today! It has been a very exciting month. Ben celebrated his first Christmas! He also has changed so much in the last month. It seems like everyday he is learning something new. This month he has started army crawling, and he is very fast. He is also pulling up and cruising, as well as walking with his walker. Now that he is on the go it has become so difficult to change his diaper and his clothes. He also is getting lots of bumps and bruises as he learns that although he thinks he can walk he isn't quite there yet.

One of Ben's favorite things to do now is when we ask How big is Ben?, he throws his arms up as we say "So Big." He is also starting to clap. We are working on waving bye bye and playing peek-a-boo. When he gets excited he scrunches up his nose and starts snorting. It is SO cute!

Ben is now eating three times a day. He has yogurt for breakfast, fruit baby food for lunch, and then a meat and a veggie baby food for dinner. He is having fresh fruit with each meal. He has had banana, blueberries, grapes, apple, orange, pineapple, and raspberries either in his mesh feeder or cut up into small pieces. He has also had a few crackers now.

Ben weighs 17 pounds 14 ounces (10th percentile) and he is 28" long (50th percentile). His weight has dropped from the 50th percentile to the 10th, which is a little concerning to his pediatrician. He wants him to eat more yogurt and meat, plus supplement with formula in his sippy cup at meals. We go back in a couple weeks for a weight check.

I was not surprised he had only gained 2 pounds since his 6 month appointment. I could tell that he was staying about the same size. His cheeks are so deceiving. He still mainly wears 3-6 month clothes. He has become so active and never sits still anymore, and I think that is also keeping him from gaining a lot of weight. I'm not too worried though because he looks very healthy to me.

This month Ben finally got his first tooth. I think he is about to get the other bottom tooth and the top two.

He looks like a little boy in this picture, not a baby :-(

Ben doesn't realize that behind him his daddy it putting up a baby gate and he will soon lose some of his freedom.

Snorting

When he looks at me like this I just melt in those blue eyes!
He loves his ride on toys and would love it if I would push him around the house all day long.
Snorting again

We just love this little guy so much!
