A Rough Week

It has been a bit of a rough week here. Ben has been cutting his top two teeth and has had a virus at the same time. On top of that he has had a horrible diaper rash and we ended up going to the doctor on Thursday for it. His doctor said it was probably from his virus and gave us a prescription for it. While we were there he was weighed again and lost 5 ounces. Ugh! We had worked so hard to add on the weight and then to lose some was frustrating. The virus probably caused the weight loss, but now we have to go back for another weight check in a week or two.

Here is Ben in his airplane onesie I made him
Teething and Being Sick hasn't slowed him down any

Ben loves to snort

I love Mommy

And mommy loves me

Ben has started to pretend he is talking on the phone.

Although he is really talking to his hair brush :-)

Today I finished a cover for Ben's car seat. I think it turned out cute. I also plan to make Ben a long jon-jon in this fabric. He will look pretty funny when he is wearing it in his car seat.

I love these colors!
I love this airplane applique. I can't wait until I have a chance to make Ben a onesie with it.

Aren't they just adorable?

Embroidery

My dad got my mom an embroidery machine for Christmas. I went with her to the class for it because we knew it would be pretty complicated. I have fallen in love with her machine. We have made a deal where we will keep it at my house and I will just make her anything she wants.

At first I started out with monogramming.

But then I started seeing downloads online to do appliques. It seemed simple enough and I tried it next. I LOVE this onesie I made for Ben.
I have now taught my mom and Lindsey how to work the machine as well and we have gone crazy applique-ing everything. We have been working on a bunch of baby gifts.

This is a Valentine shirt for Lauren. It involved lots of different fabric and thread color changes. It was time consuming, but so much fun. I think it looks so adorable.
I am also making a boy version

I had no idea that her machine was capable of doing all of this stuff. We are going to have so much fun making stuff for baby gifts and stuff for our kids.

Busy Boy

Ben is constantly on the move. This week we have been working on his standing. He can stand for about 15 seconds at a time.

Look at those muscles

He is pulling up and into everything
