My dad got my mom an embroidery machine for Christmas. I went with her to the class for it because we knew it would be pretty complicated. I have fallen in love with her machine. We have made a deal where we will keep it at my house and I will just make her anything she wants.
At first I started out with monogramming.
But then I started seeing downloads online to do appliques. It seemed simple enough and I tried it next. I LOVE this onesie I made for Ben.
I have now taught my mom and Lindsey how to work the machine as well and we have gone crazy applique-ing everything. We have been working on a bunch of baby gifts.
This is a Valentine shirt for Lauren. It involved lots of different fabric and thread color changes. It was time consuming, but so much fun. I think it looks so adorable.
I am also making a boy version
I had no idea that her machine was capable of doing all of this stuff. We are going to have so much fun making stuff for baby gifts and stuff for our kids.

LOVE THE SHIRTS!!! I'm actually saving up for an embroidery machine. Which one are you using? It is probably a lot more than I was planning to spend, but those shirts are awesome. I never knew you could applique with an embroidery machine. Will you give lessons?

Anon- It is a Brothers PE750D. It is similar to a sewing machine, but only does embroidery. You can not sew on this machine.
Rachel-Thank you! It is a Brothers PE750D. I can definitely show you how to use the machine. It is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. When you do decide to buy one I highly recommend getting it from Sew Vac City. They have been great. We got a private lesson on how to use the machine and they have been a lot of help since then with any questions we have had. I would not be able to do half the stuff I can without having had their help. Also, being able to connect the machine to the computer allows me to download and use any PES files which enables me to do so much more than just the fonts and designs that come on the machine.
