Ben turned two years old a couple of weeks ago. I can not believe it!
How has it been two years already?

Ben weighs 26 pounds which is the 25th percentile and he is a little over 35 inches tall and is in the 75th percentile.

Ben is talking so much. He speaks in sentences now and can pretty much repeat anything I ask him to. Ben now calls me mommy instead of momma and Shawn daddy instead of dada.

Ben isn't much of an eater. He does love most fruits and vegetables especially tomatoes. He isn't much of a fan of any kind of meat. Ben LOVES milk. We recently stopped his sippy cup of milk at bedtime which I was afraid would be incredibly hard, but ended up not being too bad.

Ben is a great sleeper and sleeps from about 8pm-7:30am and has a two hour nap in the afternoon. I'm so glad that he has yet to attempt to climb out of his crib. I would like to keep him in it as long as possible.

Ben is obsessed with many things. My day starts with Ben asking when we will see Granny and that continues the rest of the day until we see her. He is also obsessed with Daddy's shop and Daddy's truck and asks to go play in either all day long. It is exhausting listening to him over and over, but it is a great way to entertain him when needed.

Another obsession he has is Toy Story. Actually he is obsessed with Woody. He also loves Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny, Thomas the Train, and a new favorite is Max and Ruby. Trucks, trains, and cars are other favorites.

Ben got a double dose of shyness from Shawn and I and it is very evident. If he doesn't see someone on a daily basis then it takes him awhile to warm up to them. I hope he will grow out of this, but it probably isn't too likely!

Ben likes for us to read to him. His favorite books are Goodnight Little Pookie, Go Dogs Go, The Nose Book, Truckery Rhymes, and some Toy Story books.

Ben has started to say I love you. It is SO sweet and sounds like I nah noo mommy.

Ben is starting to sing which is really cute. Some favorites are Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Jesus Loves Me, and Texas A&M's The Spirit. It is really sweet listening to him sing with me.

Ben is very active. He loves to run, jump, climb, and dance.

Ben loves to try on every one's shoes. Lately I have been very impressed, he puts on Shawn's socks and shoes all by himself.

Ben is becoming very independent. His favorite phrase right now is me do it.

Ben is a great helper. He puts his clothes in the hamper, helps me unload the dishwasher and washer and dryer, helps carry in groceries and helps picking up toys.

The best news of all, Ben is now potty trained!!!!! A little over a month ago I decided to spend a day at home and try to start potty training him. I thought by 10am we would both be over it. Surprisingly Ben did wonderful and we haven't turned back since. He now tells me every time he needs to go and can actually go up to 3 hours without needing to go. He has gone almost a week with no accidents at all.

We love our little guy so much and are so blessed to be his parents.
