How We Got Engaged

The morning of the engagement, we went to church and had lunch there while the church members discussed plans for building a new church. I brought the ring with me to church and gave it to Kenny (Dana's brother-in-law). After lunch the entire family had decided to go out to Sawdust Ranch to see the new house and enjoy the beautiful day. Kenny left early to plant the ring on an antler shed that I had given him. He placed it by a road over looking the lake and a green pasture. When Dana and I arrived we looked through the house and I kept suggesting that we go for a ride on the 4-wheeler. She kept declining saying that it was too wet and muddy. But I persisted and she finally gave in. We left the house and drove behind the lake dam and eventually came upon the antler shed. I pointed it out to her and she was immediately suspicious. As we walked closer the sparkle of the ring was very visible. I pulled the ring off the antler and got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. And she said yes!
