Ben Talk

Ben says some of the funniest things.  One of my favorites is anytime he is talking about the past he will say, last morning I.....  Anything in the future is tomorrow whether it is in an hour or two weeks.

This past weekend at a birthday party they were playing a game and were each given a number.  He was told he was 6.  Ben burst into tears and came running over to us.  He said momma they told me I was six, but I am not, I'm 3!

Ben was telling me the other day that God was in his heart.  He then proceeded to ask me how do I get him out of there, like he was stuck or something.

One day when I was picking Ben up from school I could tell he was really tired and grumpy.  He asked me something and I told him no.  Ben then told me, momma you are not obeying!

I met with Ben's teacher this week for a parent-teacher conference.  She told me that when she asked him to identify a circle he told her instead, watch me zoom up to the sky!  LOL, he is such a silly sweet boy.  I love talking with him because I just never know what is going to come out of his mouth next.

Logan is now 3 months old!  I think he weighs about 13.5 pounds.  He is wearing some 0-3 month clothes and is starting to wear 3-6.  He is now in a size 2 diaper.  Logan has started sleeping through the night!!!  It isn't every night, but he is doing so well.  Last night I fed him at 11pm, and then he slept until 8am.  Ben never did this well until he was 6 months old, so I am very excited!  Logan is such a strong boy.  He loves to stand up while holding my hands.  He also loves to be sitting up.  He does this little baby sit up trying to lean forward when I am holding him.  I think he will be sitting up before he is 6 months old.  Logan has started to laugh, and it is so cute!  Logan loves to play in his play gym and watch his mobile in his crib.  

3 Year Old Update

Ben turned 3 years old on Monday!  I can't believe how old he looks in these pictures.  Ben weighs not quite 30 pounds and is 36.5" tall.  He is in the 25th percentile for both although I'm not sure she got a good measurement of his height because he was a little slouched over.  Either way he is a healthy little boy.  He passed his vision test and didn't need any shots.  Ben is such a skinny kid his 2T clothing hangs off of him.  If it wasn't for the length of clothing then he could easily wear 18 month clothes.

Ben still loves his milk, fruit, and vegetables.  Getting him to eat any protein is a chore!

Ben is a very active kids and loves to be outside.  He loves to go exploring in the woods with his daddy.  Every evening he loves to run laps around our house.  He also loves to play baseball and football with his daddy.

Ben has so many funny things he says!  Listening to him talk is one my favorite things.  Every morning he asks me, momma what big day I got. No pressure there LOL!  Whenever he is talking about something being his favorite, he calls it his best.  He will say momma matoes (tomatoes) are my best!  He loves to say that's a great idea!  One of his newest words is property.  He will ask me while we are driving where our property is and then point out what is not our property.  

Ben has become quite the storyteller as well.  His grandparents asked him one day how he scratched his foot and he told them a coyote bit him and that his daddy had to hit the coyote in the head with a stick to get him to run away.  One day someone asked him what kind of fish he catches at the ranch and he told them sharks!  

Ben is trying to drop his afternoon nap, which I am not ready for.  It is nice though to occasionally skip his afternoon nap and then have an early bedtime.  He typically sleeps from 8:30pm to 7am and has a two hour nap around 2pm.

I do believe 3 years old is going to be more challenging than 2 was.  He was never much of a tantrum thrower.  Now he is getting to point where he wants to challenge us with everything we ask him to do.  Thankfully though he is still super sweet most of the time.  He usually asks me a couple of times a day to hold him, which I love to do.  He also tells me all the time, momma you are my best friend.  

Ben is such a fun, sweet, funny boy and we are so blessed to be his parents!

Logan's Baptism

Today Logan was given over to the Lord in holy baptism. It was such a wonderful and special day. We had lots of family there and Logan did great!  Ben was very good as well.  He was so cute.  Every time they said his name he would say to us, they said me.

Afterwards we went back to our house for lunch.  I had made cute cupcakes and cookies!

I recently learned how to make cute iced sugar cookies and am having so much fun making them.

Batman Party

Yesterday we had Ben's 3rd Birthday Party.  It was a batman themed party at the place he takes gymnastics.  He had such a good time and had several cousins, friends, and classmates there.
