Christmas in Fort Worth
We are in Fort Worth until Monday celebrating Christmas with Shawn's family. We are having a great time. Tonight we opened gifts with our niece Courtney. I love Christmas time and getting to spend time with family.
Windows and Sheetrock
The windows have been installed and this week they hung the sheet rock. I can't believe how quickly it is going. It really is starting to come together.

Roof
The house has been coming along very well. While we were in Colorado they shingled the roof. It looks great. Since then they have done all of the wiring and A/C work.

Colorado
Sorry it has been so long since I posted last. So much has been going on since we got back from Colorado. After the boys finished their hunt we stayed in Colorado for a few days to relax and hang out. Here are a couple of pictures from our trip. We found this very pretty state park while we were there. We will have to go back in the summer when it is warmer and take a walk around the lake.

Mule Deer Hunting
My dad took all of the boys mule deer hunting in Colorado this past weekend. Everyone got a great looking 10 point buck. Shawn had a great time and it was a memorable experience for him. He is very thankful for the trip and looks forward to going again.

Framing
This week they started to frame our house. They have gotten a lot done. All of the walls are up and they are now working on the roof. It is exciting to actually start to see what the house is going to look like.

Our New Project
Shawn and I are working on building a hexagonal picnic table for our new house.
So far we have purchased the material.
Measured and cut the pieces
And sanded some of the pieces.
When we are done, hopefully this is what it will look like.

Slab
Today they poured the slab at our house. It looks great.
I can't wait until they start framing and we can
really see what the house is going to look like.
I am really excited about the big back
porch overlooking the back yard.
