Wedding Pictures

Last night, I received some wedding pictures that Marian Coleman, our pastor's wife took at the wedding. She did a great job, the pictures look beautiful. The wedding was a blur to me, so I love it when I receive pictures from guests at the wedding. They are always from a different view point and it lets me see what the wedding actually looked like.

Thank you Marian!!! (Isn't her baby adorable)

Aggies 4-0

Wow, I can not believe we are 4-0. It hasn't been pretty but how many teams are still undefeated at this point. After a 2 hour rain delay we came out a little sloppy, but improved as the game went on. I was very impressed by the 12th man. It looked like everyone stayed around through the rain delay to see the game. This weekend will really be a challenge for us. Texas Tech loves to upset us. If we can avoid stupid mistakes and penalties I think we have a chance at 5-0.

Aggies 3-0

This past weekend we went to visit Shawn's family in Fort Worth. We had a great time getting to see them and Shawn's dad fixed another amazing meal. While we were there we watched the Aggie football game. I am so glad we did not go to the game. It would not have been worth the money.

Army definitely came to play and we were not ready for that. We barely squeaked by with a win. Not only did the team not play to their potential, I thought the coaching was very poor. On our last drive we are just trying to keep the ball and eat up as much time as possible. Our running game was fantastic all day, which makes no sense why we would throw a pass and stop the clock. On top of that we try to go for it on 4th down on the 30 yard line. We don't get it and Army had a short field. Fortunately the defense was able to hold them before the time expired.

Even though, we did not have a very good game, we did come away with a win. We are now 3-0. I do not remember the last time we won 3 games straight. It was probably good for the team to have a challenge and still come away with a win. Hopefully this weekend will be easier and we can go 4-0.

Wedding Announcement

Finally, our wedding announcement was in the paper on Sunday. Since I didn't have a bridal portrait made before the wedding, we had to wait for the wedding pictures to submit it to the paper. Then we had to wait awhile to get the digital copy from the photographer. Anyways, click on the link below if you would like to see it.

Aggies 2-0

We won again this week. We beat the University of Louisiana Lafayette or as the students called it u-la-la. The final score was 51-7. We definitely improved from last week. The Wrecking Crew might be on its way back. It will be interesting to see how we play a Big 12 team, but for now I am enjoying watch the Aggies when some games.

Football Season

On Saturday, the Aggies had their first football game of the season. I love Aggie football, but I have know idea what kind of team we will have this year. We beat Citadel 35-3. I really don't know what that means for our team. Citadel isn't known to have a great football program. A blow out would have made me feel better. Our team looked pretty sloppy in some places, but the defense came through for us on a couple 4th downs. That is a pretty big improvement over last year. We will see as the season progresses. I would love for us to have winning season and a bowl game. That is something we haven't seen for a while and it is time to get back to that point again. We are off to a good start. 1-0 is a winning season so far.

Colorado

Last week Shawn and I spent the first time away from each other since we were married. I went to Colorado with my family for a week while he stayed home to study. It was very hard to be away from each other. Neither of us got much sleep while I was gone. It is amazing how quickly you get used to someone in your bed in 3 short months. I think we both agreed we will not be spending that much time apart for a very long time.

While in Colorado, I had a nice time with my family. I enjoyed getting to spend time with our newest family member, Luke. He is the sweetest baby, and he is looking more and more like Casey everyday.

We also went to, I believe, every park in the Vail Valley. I don't think I have ever been to so many parks, but it was fun to watch Lauren run around from place to place. She had a great time.

Happy Birthday Shawn!!!

On Saturday, we celebrated Shawn's 32nd birthday. We had a great time. We went to Houston and ate at Pappasitos. When we got home Shawn opened his present and we had cookie cake. We had a wonderful day together, that was very special after I have been out of town for a week.

Did you know that when you are 32 it takes TWO boxes of candles?
