First Bath

Finally at one day shy of 6 weeks old, Logan had his first real bath. I'm not sure what it is about my kids umbilical cords, but they do not like to fall off. It took over 4 weeks for Ben's to fall off and Logan's almost 6 weeks. After 4 weeks, the doctor starts to put silver nitrate on it. I am so glad the sponge baths are done. Logan would always cry once he was all wet and cold, but tonight he enjoyed laying in a warm bath!

A funny Ben story: One day during tummy time Ben noticed how I was telling Logan what a good job he was doing holding his head up. Since then Ben will lay his head down on the table and look up at me. Then he will pop his head up and look around waiting for everyone to tell him good job picking your head up! He is such a silly boy and has loved showing off his new trick to anyone who comes over.

This super baby gained almost a pound in a week and now weighs 8 pounds 13 ounces!

One Month Old

Logan is one month old. He is getting to be such a big boy. He went to the doctor this week and now weighs 7 pounds 14 ounces. He wasn't even on the growth chart when he was born, and now he is at the tenth percentile! That is almost a two and a half pound weight gain since he was born. He is also only three ounces less than Ben was when he was born. He is now wearing newborn clothes and is still in newborn diapers. Logan is starting to spend a little more time awake. So far he has gone up to six hours without waking up to eat at night, but this past week he has been getting up every 2-3 hours to eat. When he is awake he is starting to track with his eyes and will follow a toy from one side to another. He has also started to smile which is SO cute! We are so in love with our new baby boy!

3 Weeks Old

Logan is 3 weeks old!!! It sure is going by fast. He is doing great and is a pro at eating, sleeping, and pooping! He is even doing fairly well at night. Some nights he is waking up to eat every 2-3 hours, but some nights he will go up to 5 hours between feeds which is wonderful. He is also starting to outgrow some of the "preemie" outfits we had to get him when he has born so tiny. He is actually starting to fit into some of his big brother's newborn outfits like this one below.

Here is a picture of Ben wearing the same outfit! I think they look alike, but Ben definitely has much bigger cheeks!
