This is actually pretty late, but I have been waiting to get Ben's pictures back from our photographer. Ben is now 2 and a half years old. He is going to be a big brother soon and is very excited. Ben still weighs 27 pounds as he did when he turned two, but he has grown about 2 inches. He is getting skinny and tall and losing all of his babyness :-( I buy him 2T pants only for the length. Even the slim jeans just hang off of him. Ben still loves his fruits and vegetables and is hit or miss on whether or not he will eat anything else. Ben still LOVES milk, and we go through so many gallons.
Ben is now in a big boy bed and doing very well. He never gets out of his bed and waits for us to come get him when he wakes up. He is trying to drop his nap and fights nap time so much. He still needs the nap so much, so my afternoons are primarily focused on getting him to nap. Ben has been potty trained for over half a year now and has done so well. Ben started preschool this fall and it has been the best thing for him. He used to be very shy and didn't like to be away from us, but now he walks right into his classroom and doesn't look back. He loves to talk about his friends and teachers and has been learning so much. He can spell his name and tell you that his birthday is April 16th. He has learned so many songs and loves to sing them.
Ben loves to read, and we are now reading non-board books with much longer stories. Ben is very active and has now learned to pedal his tricycle. Ben has always been on the go and has never wanted to be held, but lately he has been asking me several times a day to hold him. I'm not sure if it has to do with the baby coming soon or what, but I have really enjoyed getting some extra snuggles in with my first born baby.
