Football Game

While we were in Dallas we went to the A&M vs Arkansas game. We had a great time, too bad we couldn't pull off a win though.

Great Wolf Lodge

Once we left Shawn's parents in Fort Worth we headed to the Great Wolf Lodge to meet my family. We were all in town to watch the Aggies play the Razorbacks on Saturday. The Great Wolf Lodge was SO much fun, and I definitely recommend it to all of the families out there. Ben was a little young for any of the slides, but he still had a great time and there was plenty for him to play with.

Ben really enjoyed watching the show. He got brave once and walked up to the fence, but then the show had some thunder and lightning and he quickly came back to his daddy's lap.

Fort Worth Zoo

On Wednesday we went to visit Shawn's family for a couple of days before meeting up with my family in Dallas for the weekend. On Thursday we took Ben to the zoo. He was constantly on the go. We didn't even get to see some of animal favorites because Ben pretty much led the way the entire time.

Mexico

Shawn and I just got back from a wonderful vacation to Playa Del Carmen. It was our first trip together without Ben. Thankfully he was well taken care of by both sets of his grandparents while we are gone. I have to say that Skype is the best thing ever when traveling. We were able to Skype 1-2 times a day and that made being away from Ben so much easier. He isn't old enough to have a conversation on the phone yet, but he was able to understand and see us and communicate with us through skype. The best part is it is free. We would have spent a lot of money calling to check on Ben without it.

It was wonderful taking a vacation where we could actually relax and didn't need a vacation from our vacation.
