Busy Weekend

We have had a busy weekend. On Friday we went up to Fort Worth for Ben's cousin Brittney's first birthday on Saturday. Ben had a great time with Shawn's family.

We heard a choo choo train and Ben is just a bit OBSESSED with choo choo's. Every time he would hear it he would stop, tilt his head, and lean over so he could hear it better. It was hilarious!

The last month or so we have been busy getting Ben and his cousin's football wardrobe ready. Last year it was next to impossible to find anything cute for him except for t-shirts. They just don't make very cute BOY aggie clothes. So this year I went a little overboard making stuff for him.

Ben is set!

16 Months

Ben turned 16 months old this week. He is becoming such a little boy these days.

Some new things he is doing:

-Giving hugs and kisses (SO sweet)

-Learning to count-I always give him his dirty clothes to put in the hamper and I count each piece as he throws them in and after I say one he says two

-New words-Pa, dog, baby, TV, Two, Nak (snack), cheese, please, no

-He calls me Momma and Nana (Dana but with a N), I certainly don't want to be called by my first name, but the way he says it is very cute

-He loves to point out all dogs, babies, and choo choo trains. We can barely hear the trains at our house and I don't even notice them, but Ben always hears them and repeatedly says choo choo!

-Ben has started to say cheese for the camara. I keep trying to get it on video because it is so cute.

-Has developed quite the silly personality. I think he might be a little comedian in a few years.

-Weighed 23.6 pounds at this doctor's appointment a couple weeks ago

50th percentile for height and 35th percentile for weight which is great since he got down to the tenth percentile

-Loves knocking over towers of blocks

-Is taking a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon, which is wonderful, except he wakes up a couple of times and I have to go in there and get him back to sleep.

-Has learned to unlock my phone and make phone calls (He called the ranch yesterday. I think he is ready for his Granny and Pa to come home from Colorado

-Has becoming quite the climber

-Whenever asked a question he says no and shakes his head. Normally I wouldn't be happy about this, but the way he does it is really cute and sweet.

-Ben now has 10 teeth

-This next month if I can get everything worked out he will be starting "school" twice a week for a few hours.

Cousin Courtney

Shawn's family came to visit a few days last week. Ben had such a great time playing with his grandparents and his cousin Courtney.
