Faux Finishing

This weekend Shawn & I are going to a faux painting clinic at Home Depot. We are hoping to be able to faux finish some of the rooms in our new house. Has anyone tried this before? Do you have any tips?

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July tomorrow. We are at the ranch hoping it doesn't rain, so we can enjoy a day at the lake and pool. Today Lindsey and I took the boys swimming for the first time.

Father's Day

We stopped in Fort Worth on our way home from Colorado

to spend Father's day with Shawn's family.

Shawn and I went to Colorado last week with my family. Sadly Lindsey, Kenny, and the boys weren't there. We drove there and back which was a pretty drive. We saw lots of pronghorn, mule deer, buffalo, and hot air balloons.

Our Future Home

Well there isn't a house there yet, but this is where Shawn and I will one day live. There isn't much to see right now because the lot is very thick with trees and yaupon, but it is a two acre lot. We look forward to living there one day and hope to get started on a house soon.

Shawn got a Job!!!

Shawn has gotten a job with Texas A&M Ag Extension. He is going to be writing publications, working on projects, and writing grants. This job came at a time when we had pretty much given up on him finding a job in the wildlife field here in town, so this is such a blessing.

He is very excited about the job, and I think he is going to do very well at it.

Sweet Babies

Last night Shawn and I babysat the babies for Lindsey and Kenny.

They were so good and sweet.

We played with them, bathed them, fed them, and put them to bed.

Shawn fed a baby a bottle for the first time. I wanted to get a picture, but I was busy feeding a baby as well. I think he is a natural, although I doubt I could ever get him to change a diaper.

As the boys are getting older and stronger,

I feel much more comfortable babysitting them.
