Christmas Weekend

The Friday night before Christmas, we stayed at the ranch and had the Moore family Christmas. My mom made a great dinner and then the next morning we opened presents.
Lauren and Granny Debbie making fudge
Here we are before dinner
Lauren and Luke opening presents
Luke and Lauren are ready for the Colorado cold.
After our time with my family, we went to Fort Worth for the rest of the Christmas weekend. We had a great time. Mr. Locke made a great meal and we got to visit with Shawn's grandparents. On Christmas morning we went to Shawn's sister, Shannon's house. I forgot the camera. I was so sad that I didn't get to take pictures of our first Christmas morning together. We had a great first Christmas and are looking forward to many more.

Our First Christmas

Since Shawn and I are going to be visiting our families over Christmas we decided to go ahead and have our own Christmas together at home.
This year I got Shawn diamond earrings and he got me a rifle.
What do ya think?

Well, actually Shawn got me the diamond earrings and I got him the rifle, but I think he looks pretty good in my earrings :)

Finally, A Christmas Tree

Finally, a week before Christmas we decorated our Christmas tree. Well, I decorated the tree and while Shawn found better things to do. But, I did save vacuuming up all of the dropped pine needles for him and putting the star on the top. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

Please pray for Lindsey and Andrew

The doctors discovered that Andrew has blood in his lungs. They are going to do the PDA surgery immediately. Please pray that the surgery goes well and that he will no longer have any blood in his lungs. Please also pray for Lindsey. She has a 102 fever and is shaking. Please pray that she will remain calm and the doctor can find out what is causing the fever. Please keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks,Dana

Lindsey went into labor this evening and they were unable to stop the contractions. They did a c-section and at 7:57 pm Adam Russel and Andrew Stephen were born. Adam weighs 2 pounds and Andrew weighs 1 pound 11 ounces. Both babies were breathing when they were born and one even cried. They are now on respirators and in the NICU. Please pray that the boys will have no bleeding in their brains, that their lungs will mature, and they will not develop any infections. Please pray that Lindsey will be able to get some sleep and have a quick recovery.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

Ever since I was little I have always wanted to put lights on the house. This year, Shawn made my dream come true. On Sunday, we put icicle lights on the front of the house. We still want to add another strand of lights on the dormer, but this what we have done so far.

Shawn had me absolutely terrified at this moment.
Macie could care less about what was going on.
I think it looks pretty good, especially when we get that other strand up.

My Amazing Sister

Many of you know that Lindsey and I are not just sisters but great friends. It took many years for us to be friends, but once I finally grew up we became best friends. I treasure our relationship and I miss her so much. She has always been the person I have looked up to. She set a great example for me on how to be a teenager, college student, wife and now mother. Lindsey loves her boys so much and will do anything for them. She has the most positive attitude and nothing is getting her down. Her faith in Christ is amazing. After spending 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital she is not growing tired of it. She is so happy for each day that she is there carrying those babies. She is going to be an incredible mother. I just wanted to share with everyone what an amazing sister I have, and I can't wait for her, Kenny, Adam and Andrew to come home. I miss them so much.
