Thanksgiving

This year we had a quiet simple Thanksgiving. Since Lindsey is in the hospital and Casey and Rachel spent Thanksgiving with her side, Shawn and I had my parents over for lunch. I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner (actually with the close supervision of my mom). We had a nice time and I was able to use our china for the first time.

There is so much to be thankful for this year. In May, I married the kindest, most helpful, and supportive man that I love with all my heart. In June, our nephew Luke entered this world and our family. Lindsey is still pregnant with our twin nephews. We are also so thankful for our loving and supportive families. Most of all we are thankful for our Heavenly Father who has given us all of these many blessings.

Update Thursday 11 /16/06

Lindsey had a great night last night. She was able to get some sleep that she was desperately needing. She is breathing much better today as well. Thank you for all of your prayers during this time. The Lord is answering them for us. Lindsey's contractions are minimal and are much weaker. Please pray that they will not increase. Please also pray that she will be able to carry the babies for at least another 2-4 weeks.

Update

Lindsey is improving. She had a chest x-ray this afternoon and it looked better. Please pray that the contractions will not start again and that she will be able to get some sleep.

Update Wednesday 11/15/06

This morning Lindsey had a bit of a scare. The magnesium that she had been on caused her to have fluid build up in her chest. This caused her to have trouble breathing this morning. The doctors were very concerned about her health and talked about doing a c-section. Fortunately, things improved and she is breathing better. Please pray that this fluid will go away and she will not have anymore problems breathing. The contractions from yesterday have pretty much stopped. Please pray that Lindsey will continue to improve, so that Adam and Andrew can stay in her a lot longer.

Update Tuesday 11/14/06

Lindsey has started having contractions again. A drug called Endocin stopped the contractions on Sunday and can only be taken for 48 hours. They gave her one last dose of it after the contractions started. She had also been taking magnesium, but they have decided that it isn't working and are going to take her off of it and try a new drug. Please pray that the last dose of Endocin will stop the contractions and the new drug will start to work. Please keep Lindsey, Kenny, and the babies in your prayers.

Please pray for Lindsey, Kenny, and the Babies

Lindsey is at the Women's Hospital of Texas in Houston right now. On Saturday she started having contractions and went to the hospital in College Station. Sunday the contractions progressed and she was transported to the Hospital in Houston. She will be there indefinitely. Currently her contractions have slowed down and have weakened. Please pray that the doctors will determine which medicine works best to stop the contractions. The babies are 23 weeks. Each additional day this can be delayed is very important. Please pray that she will be able to carry the babies for many more days if not weeks or months. Please keep Lindsey, Kenny, the babies, and the doctors all in your prayers during this difficult time.
Thanks,
Dana

5 Months Later

I didn't like having all of our china put up in the cabinets and never getting to see any of it. So I had KMC build us this china cabinet. I think it turned out great. I love getting to see everything now.

Cancun

Shawn and I just got back from a long weekend at Cancun. Since getting married Shawn has been very busy with school, so we decided to take the quick trip to relax and have a good time. The trip started well. We really enjoyed the beach and the water was very nice, but after our favorite meal of the trip we became sick with food poisoning. The last day we spend in bed sick. I don't think we will be going back to Mexico anytime soon.
Every day we would receive a towel creature or object in our room. There is a swan, basket, heart, and a snail like creature.
These unfortunately are our only pictures. We had put off taking pictures until our last day and then ended up being sick. That is ok with us though because we don't need pictures to remind us of this trip. The picture at the top was actually taken right before that fateful meal.

Aggies 6-1

The Aggies are going to a bowl game!!! After 6 wins the Aggies are eligible which isn't as common these days in Aggieland. They played great on Saturday against an undefeated Mizzou. We had a lot less mistakes which really made a big difference. This week we will be playing away at Oklahoma State who has been struggling this year. I hope we aren't overly confident because that is usually when everything catches up with us.

Aggies 4-1

Well, the aggies lost their first football game this season to Texas Tech. It was a heart breaker. The first half we didn't play very well, but we came out strong in the second half and dominated. But, Texas Tech was able to score in the last minute to pull ahead and win the game. This week we play Kansas away, hopefully we can pull out a win on the road.
